Seal brooch pin - hand painted wooden badge
Don't you just love seals? They're bumblers on the land but super streamlined underwater and soooo curious and friendly. I think of them as cute fuzzy embassadors for the marine world.
This would be a great gift for an animal lover, especially anyone who loves these cute critters.
The pin was laser cut, painted with acrylic paint and then given a coat of non-yellowing varnish. This means that the colours stay clear and it's weather proof but not designed to go through the washer (what seal is?)
It has a brooch pin on the back attached with super strong glue used widely by jewelry makers to make sure your new buddy stays put.
As with all individually hand finished items, there is some natural variation between the pins. While the photos show typical examples, your pin will be unique.
I am trying to be a good guy, so your pin is cut from sustainably sourced wood and it will be presented in a recycled card box in plastc-free packaging.
